National Adoption Week

October 6, 2021

This year’s National Adoption Week campaign (18-24 October) aims to celebrate adoption by raising awareness and generating a better understanding of the different experiences shared in the adoption process. This will be done by highlighting and championing all the voices of those whose lives have been impacted by adoption and involved in finding loving and safe homes for children.

As part of the campaign, new data looking at modern adoption will be released and real-life stories will be shared from adopted children, adopted adults, adoptive parents, birth parents, social workers, and family who have watched loved ones go through the process.

Coram Ambitious for Adoption, a Regional Adoption Agency of which Slough Borough Council is a member, will be supporting this year’s National Adoption Week and welcomes enquiries from prospective adopters in London and surrounding areas. For more information, please visit coramadoption.org.uk.
