On Monday 22 December, we hosted a lovely Christmas dinner for our care leavers.
At Slough Children First, we know that Christmas can mean different things to different people and can bring about a range of emotions, particularly for care experienced young people.
For some, this time of year can be especially difficult, which is why we organised a dinner for them earlier this week.
It was great to see our young people come together to eat, drink, laugh, relax, and enjoy games. We had a great turnout, and we are pleased to say that it went very well.
Some of our young people even got involved in preparing and cooking the food, proudly showing off their kitchen skills too!
Thank you to all who came, and a big thank you to Councillor Bedi of Slough Borough Council and our lovely staff who attended and supported.
We know that this dinner created special memories that will last for many, including some ‘firsts’ for some.
