YP Interview Panels

At our organisation, we believe in the power of youth voices. That’s why we’ve established youth-led interview panels to actively involve young people in the process of selecting candidates for SCF roles. These panels consist of passionate and engaged young individuals who have a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in our field.

Why are young people in the best position to conduct interviews?

  1. Relevance: You understand the challenges and opportunities faced by their peers. Their lived experiences make them attuned to the needs and aspirations of candidates who will work directly with youth.
  2. Fresh Perspectives: Youth-led panels bring fresh perspectives to the table. We need you to ask the questions that cut through formalities and get to the heart of the matter.
  3. Authenticity: Young panelists approach interviews with authenticity. You don’t rely on rehearsed answers or corporate jargon. Instead, you seek genuine connections and assess candidates based on their passion, empathy, and commitment.
  4. Representation: By participating in the selection process, young people ensure that our organisation is reflecting the diversity of our community. You advocate for inclusivity and challenge biases.

Rules and Expectations:

Exciting news! By joining our YP interview panels, you’ll get gift vouchers of your choice as a thank you at an hourly rate of £15! But before you dive in, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Keep Your Camera On: If we’re meeting virtually, make sure your camera is on so we can see your lovely face! 😊
  2. Stay the Whole Time: Please attend the entire interview unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
  3. Mind Your Language: Let’s keep it clean and respectful – no bad language, please.
  4. Dress Code: There is no strict dress code, but do dress appropriately.
  5. Be Prepared: Have at least 3 questions ready to ask.
