Forums and events

Our forums are for special guardians who wish to come along and meet other special guardians.

We have staff present within the forum, on hand to provide advice and support, however, the most valuable aspect of our forum is our carers who are able to provide each other with peer support and contribution.

Our SGO forums are held every 6-8 weeks and allow for free-flowing conversations, which are initiated by our carers, as well as short segments of information and advice around local services and difficulties that special guardians may encounter.

Our forums are hybrid so you are welcome to join us face to face at Observatory House or join online (a link will be shared with you).

If you’d like to receive information about our forums and other upcoming events, please email kinshipduty@sloughchildrenfirst.co.uk to be added to our mailing list.
