Our Kinship Team is here to walk alongside you every step of the way — whether you are at the beginning of your kinship journey or have been caring for a child for some time. We are a small, dedicated group made up of three assessing social workers and one supervising social worker, each with a clear role in supporting you and your family.
The Kinship Team includes:
- Assessing social workers – they work with family members who have come forward to care for a child. Their role is to complete assessments that carefully look at your circumstances, whether the child is already living with you or not, and to explore whether you can care for them safely and securely in the long term.
- Supervising social worker – Once a child is placed in your care, our supervising social worker provides ongoing guidance and support, from helping with day-to-day challenges to offering advice on more complex situations.
