Trust hosts Foster Carer Awards

October 20, 2016

James Bond was the theme for the Slough Children’s Services Trust’s dinner, dance and awards ceremony for foster carers, held at Burnham Park Hall on 15 October 2016.

More than 100 guests joined staff for the event, which included awards to recognise and celebrate length of service and outstanding contribution to fostering.

This was the second event of its kind, since the Trust was launched on 1 October 2015.

The awards were presented by Slough’s Olympic athlete Shelayna Oskan-Clarke, who is the current 800m champion and also reached the semi-finals at the Rio Olympic Games, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

Jackie Pape, Head of Fostering and Adoption at the Trust said: “It was a fantastic evening and we were delighted that Shelayna could preesent the awards. In our eyes, it was a case of one dedicated winner meeting a whole room of equal winners.”

If you would like to be considered as a foster carer, have a spare room in your house and a big heart, then please contact us. For a friendly chat, call 01753 690777 or email foster@sloughchildrenfirst.co.uk
