JSA Heathrow Rangers uplifts Breakaway garden

July 30, 2024

Slough Children First would like to say a massive thank you to JSA Heathrow Rangers for uplifting our Breakaway garden once again.

The team have now completed the final phase of their garden restoration project with us. They started the first phase of their project with Breakaway in November 2022 and there were 7 phases including rockery, a buddy bench, herb garden planter, outdoor furniture and Christmas presents and decorations.

As well as this, the team kindly donated several items to Breakaway, including an inflatable bed, shed and iPads.

The front garden site has now been uplifted, there has been a complete makeover of the front garden to make it more child friendly – this now includes a cherry tree, lavender plants, hanging baskets and solar lights. Their last project was rebuilding the garden shed with a concrete base.

A big shout out to the volunteers from JSA Heathrow Community Rangers who have transformed Breakaway’s landscape (front and back garden).

Despite the high demand, they were able to complete the projects in adverse weather conditions and to high standards, considering the needs of the children.

Thank you Rangers!
