On Tuesday, 11 November, Slough Children First celebrated a year since its academy launch.
The Slough Children First Academy is an in-house learning offer for staff employed within Slough Children First, designed to invest in the workforce’s learning and development and provide support. The Slough Children First Academy has opportunities tailored to its service areas.
Celebrations were also in place for our second cohort of Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) who successfully passed their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE), the first cohort of the year graduated in May.
Sue Butcher, Director of Children’s Services and Chief Executive at Slough Children First, said:
“I am delighted to be here to celebrate this success, which is a celebration of yourselves and the families you work with at Slough Children First. As you grow as social workers and as people, be true to yourself, as you’re advocates for children, young people and families.”
We are incredibly proud of all of them and wish them all the best in their social work careers.
Thank you to all who have supported them this past year.
Please join us in congratulating them on this important part of their journey!
