Slough Children’s Services Trust is asking the local community to get behind Foster Care Fortnight by becoming a fostering ambassador.
The national campaign starts on Monday, 13 May and the Trust is looking for people across Slough who can help reach out to communities and spread the word about the need for more foster carers in the local area.

“Foster Care Fortnight is a great opportunity to highlight the fact that there are many local children in need of a loving home. You don’t need to become a foster carer to be a fostering ambassador – we’re looking for a range of people who can play a key role by reaching out to our local residents.
These might include shop managers who are willing to put our leaflets on their counter, editors of parish newsletters, those who organise local events, clubs or noticeboards, community leaders and those who are able to share our messages across social media or through their workplace. There are lots of opportunities.
We have some amazing foster carers who really do change lives but we need more of them and want to work with our community to spread the word. If you can help, please get in touch.”
