Children and young people thrive at annual celebration day!

June 12, 2024

Slough Children First held its annual celebration fun day on Wednesday 29 May and what a day it was!

We celebrated the amazing achievements of our care experienced children and young people over the past year, with food, drink, music and activities (including a pirate treasure hunt).

Over 200 children and young people were recognised for their efforts and achievements through nominations across awards across various categories including: personal achievement, helping hands, education, sports and arts.

With our vision being at the forefront of everything that we do, it was truly great to know that our children and young people are thriving.

It was great to see so many people come together and have a good time!

The event was hosted by Sue Butcher – Director of Children’s Services and Chief Executive at Slough Children First and Councillor Puja Bedi – Lead Member for Education and Children’s Services, with The Mayor of Slough, Councillor Balwinder S Dhillon and Will Tuckley – Chief Executive, Slough Borough Council amongst guests that attended.

Thank you again to our staff who organised this event and the time and effort they put into this, as well as those who supported.
